Bear Hunting
Bap-Tong Theater Company
“My grandfather was a bear hunter. When he went up the mountain, he didn’t carry a gun or a spear—just a rope,” the play begins. If you tie a big rock to a tree on a bear’s path, a bear could simply walk around it. But, feeling offended by the obstacle, the bear repeatedly rams into the rock with its head.
Even though it hurts badly, the angrier it gets, the harder it strikes—until eventually, it collapses and dies. Is it really true? Now, a real giant bear appears before the audience.

Klaxon
Geumseol Complex Arts Atelier
Klaxon is a thought-provoking piece that questions the meaning of humanity and life through the character of an old man collecting discarded paper — a symbol of those abandoned in a capitalist society. As he finds value and breathes life into the seemingly useless among the trash, the work asks whether our high-tech, fast-changing world is truly delivering a better life.

In the middle of a city street lies a cracked egg. These "cracked eggs" walk through the crowd and begin creating a human nest together with the audience. Initially interacting with just a few onlookers, they gradually draw more people into the experience. Holding hands, the audience is gently guided to form a circular nest. The performers enter the nest and begin to move as though hatching from within. Eventually, everyone joins hands in a dance, forming one unified circle in the street. As light begins to shine from within the cracked egg, the performance comes to a close.

She notices a white rock beneath the unreachable clothesline and steps onto it for balance. Wobble... wobble... “It’s a white ox!” Frightened, Dobi runs away — but soon returns.
