Puppet Theatre(人形劇団むすび, 인형극단 무수비자)

- Puppet Theatre Musubi-za was established in 1967 and is the Tokai region's first professional puppet theater with a history of 57 years.
- The theater's name, which means "to tie people together" or "to connect hearts," reflects its mission of bringing people together through puppet theater. Its slogan, "Bringing children together and connecting people," represents its commitment to performing puppet theater close to children's lives.
- The theater aims to popularize puppet theater further through the production of adult puppet shows, international exchanges, puppet theater guidance, and lectures at short-term colleges.

Fabrizio Montecchi

Born in Italy in 1960, Fabrizio Montecchi studied visual arts and architecture and is now a director and stage designer. He began his career with Gioco Vita in 1977, contributing significantly to the development of contemporary shadow puppetry. Between 1978 and 1985, he participated in numerous works as a shadow puppeteer, creator, and assistant director. His first directing experience in 1985 led him to focus entirely on directing and stage design for shadow puppetry. Since 1994, he has collaborated with prominent companies like Huriaruuth Dance Company and currently serves as a professor of shadow puppetry at ESNAM (Ecole Supérieure Nationale des Arts de la Marionnette).

Nicoletta Garioni

Born in 1967 in Piacenza, Nicoletta Garioni graduated in Fine Arts from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1994, she has been involved in the production and education of shadow puppetry, collaborating with Gioco Vita. Since 1996, she has worked as a performance animator, consistently participating in the creation of shadow puppet theater productions, having produced over 20 works to date. Since 2012, she has been a curator for an international research program for puppeteers, actors, designers, and directors. She lectures on various topics including shadows, visual arts, and music.

Noriyuki SAWA

Noriyuki Sawa began his career in Europe in 1992, selected by Japan’s Ministry of Culture. He currently splits his time between Japan and the Czech Republic. He participates in various festivals across Europe, Asia, and the U.S. every year. His works are inspired by classic literature, including Shakespeare and Chekhov, as well as Japanese legends like Kaguya, Ninja, and the fisherman Urashima. All his performances are non-verbal, utilizing puppets, masks, movement, and music. Sawa has lectured and conducted workshops at prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and the London School of Puppetry. He was awarded the Franz Kafka Prize in 1999.

Eric de Sarria

Eric de Sarria has been an actor with the Philippe Genty Company since 1988, receiving training in visual theater utilizing puppets and objects. He has toured globally with performances such as Drifting (1989–2002) and Dedalus (1998–2000), and is currently touring with Zigmund Follies (2000–present). He also conducts workshops on visual theater and puppet manipulation in France, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Egypt, and other countries. Additionally, he directs and performs works for children, including those by Henri Michaux, and has experience as a clown in circus and street performances. In recent years, he has been assisting Philippe Genty with new works and workshops.

François Lazaro is a director and actor with the French theater company CLASTIC THEATER and has served as a dramaturg and professor at ESNAM. Lazaro has run master classes at the National Center for Dramatic Writing in Avignon for over a decade.
